• What are CertSmart Pathways micro-credentials? Our micro-credentials are short, practical online courses (3 modules each) designed for young people and job-seekers. They teach job-ready skills like barista basics, admin fundamentals, or personal training—helping you add something tangible to your CV when you lack formal qualifications. They're not officially accredited but show initiative and basic knowledge.​

• Are the courses accredited or recognised by any official body? No, these are not nationally recognised qualifications (e.g., not AQF or VET-accredited). They're micro-credentials focused on practical, resume-boosting skills. Employers value them as evidence of self-motivation and learning, especially for entry-level roles.​

• How long do the courses take to complete? Most can be finished in a few days to a week (self-paced). Each has 3 modules with lessons, quizzes, and a final certificate upon passing. You have lifetime access once enrolled.​

• What do I get when I complete a course? You'll receive:

  • A personalised completion certificate (PDF) to add to your CV.

  • A digital badge for LinkedIn/resume/email signature.

• How much do the paid courses cost? Paid courses are $49 AUD each (one-time fee). Free courses are available to try the platform. Prices include full access, certificate, CV template, and digital badge.

• How do I pay and access the course? Pay securely via AfterPay, Stripe or PayPal on the course page. Once paid, you'll get instant access to the CertSmart Online Program—no waiting. Log in anytime from any device.

• What is your refund policy? We offer a fair, good-will refund policy:

  • Full refund if requested within 7 days of purchase and you haven't completed the course content (e.g., started modules/quizzes).

  • No refunds if you've completed the course & received your certificate.

  • If the course is cancelled by us (rare), you'll get a full refund or transfer option.

  • For any issues (e.g., technical problems), contact us at learn@certsmart.com.au—we're here to help resolve them first. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.

• Do I need any special equipment or software? Just a computer, tablet, or phone with internet. Courses are mobile-friendly. No extra software required—everything runs in your browser.

• Is my payment secure? Yes—CertSmart uses secure payment processors (AfterPay/Stripe/PayPal) with encryption. Your details are never stored on our site.

• What if I change my mind after buying? See our refund policy above. We encourage trying free courses first to see if the format suits you. • How do I add the certificate to my CV or LinkedIn? Download the PDF certificate and digital badge which will be emailed to you. We provide simple instructions/templates for CV inclusion (e.g., under "Professional Development") and LinkedIn badge upload.

• Who is the course assessor? The courses are self-paced digital micro-credentials developed and structured by CertSmart Pathways using a combination of industry best practices, current Australian guidelines (e.g., from Safe Work Australia, Nutrition Australia, and relevant sector standards), and AI-assisted content creation tools for efficiency and consistency.

• There is no external or third-party assessor — completion is based on passing short module quizzes (multiple-choice) that confirm understanding of the material. This is clearly stated throughout the site: these are non-accredited, practical skill-building courses designed to help you add initiative and knowledge to your CV, not formal qualifications.

• The founder, Christian Marchegiani holds a TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (issued by Metro College of Technology, Document No. MCT0004774, 03 March 2015), which provided foundational knowledge in instructional design principles used to shape the course structure and learning outcomes. However, this course series does not involve formal training and assessment under that qualification, as they are short, self-directed online programs.

• In addition to this, Christian Marchegiani and his team of dedicated teachers are all fully qualified high school teachers accredited with Department of Education & Training, holding Bachelor Degrees and Masters Degrees in secondary teaching.
